A Netflix comprou, durante o Festival de Toronto, os direitos de distribuir Barry, filme independente sobre a juventude do presidente Barack Obama, no mundo todo – incluindo o Brasil. 

O filme se passa na Nova York dos anos 80, e mostra Obama em idade universitária, se mudando de sua cidade natal para estudar direito e sendo subitamente confrontado com questões raciais e sociais que ele não havia encarado antes.

Netflix movie about young Barack Obama wins trailer

Netflix bought during the Toronto Film Festival, the rights to distribute Barry, independent film about the youth of President Barack Obama, worldwide - including Brazil.

The film is set in New York of the 80s, and shows Obama college age, moving from his hometown to study law and being suddenly confronted with racial and social issues that he had not seen before.
